  • Solar for Rental Properties: Receive a $1,400 rebate for solar installation on up to two properties per year, with an option of an interest-free loan.

  • Hot Water Rebate: Upgrade to a solar hot water or heat pump system with a $1,000 rebate, saving up to $400 annually on energy bills.

Solar Battery Loans: Reduce upfront costs with an interest-free battery loan, repayable over four years, making the installation of a solar battery more accessible for your home.

The QBEST Rebates scheme offers financial assistance to qualifying small and medium-sized Queensland businesses aiming to install energy-efficient equipment.

The energy-efficient equipment you purchase and install should reduce your business's energy consumption and energy costs and play a role in achieving the Queensland Government's carbon reduction objectives.

Solar panel (PV) Rebate:

  • Owner-occupier of an existing property or owner of a home under construction

  • Combined household taxable income under $210,000 per year

  • Property valued at under $3 million

  • No previous solar panel (PV) rebate in the last ten years

Solar rebates for rental property providers

  • Renters' combined household taxable income under $210,000 per year

  • No more than two rebates for a rental property in the current financial year

  • Property valued at under $3 million

  • No previous solar panel (PV) or solar battery rebate in the last ten years

  • Signed Solar Homes Program Agreement between the Rental Provider and Renter(s)

Hot water rebates

  • Owner-occupier of an existing property

  • Combined household taxable income under $210,000 per year

  • Property valued at under $3 million

  • No previous hot water or solar battery rebate in the last ten years

  • The hot water system to be replaced is at least three years old

Solar battery loans

  • Owner-occupier of an existing property

  • Combined household taxable income under $210,000 per year

  • Property valued at under $3 million

  • No previous solar battery rebate

  • Solar panel system with an inverter capacity equal to or greater than 5kW

  • Energy storage solution with a capacity equal to or greater than 6kWh

  • Pre-approval from Distributed Network Service Provider (DNSP) for safe grid connection
